     Illinois School for the Deaf Vision Statement:
The Illinois School for the Deaf will provide an environment in which students will thrive and succeed to their optimal potential.

    Illinois School for the Deaf Mission Statement:
The Mission of the Illinois School for the Deaf is to engage students in a supportive, safe and nurturing environment to achieve personal excellence academically, socially, physically and emotionally.

    Illinois School for the Deaf Belief Statements:

• We believe in providing a safe, healthy, and respectful learning, living and work environment.
• We believe Individual Education Plans guide educational programming.
• We believe all forms of communication and technology for deaf and hard of hearing students should be welcomed and respected.
• We believe in providing students a supportive and caring environment to develop the whole child socially, emotionally, intellectually and physically.
• We believe in being a state-wide resource for deaf (ages 0-21) education.
• We believe in sharing the responsibility of educating our students among parents, students, school and local workforce community.
• We believe in utilizing, maintaining and updating cutting edge technology that meets current business standards.
